North Phoenix Real Estate
Although not technically a distinct town on its own, the neighborhood of North Phoenix encompasses more than 242 square miles with a multitude of real estate listings for all budgets and interests. The area is generally located between Northern Avenue and Pinnacle Peak Road and 51st Avenue to Scottsdale Road. In the south, you’ll find affordable starter homes, master-planned communities, office parks, malls, and chain retail locations; farther North, vast open areas are being rapidly developed with luxury homes amid the rolling mountains. With so many choices, your North Phoenix real estate agent will have no trouble finding you the home of your dreams.
North Phoenix real estate listings look a lot like southern California: rolling hills, picturesque volcanic cone mountains, small mountains, and wide washes. Homes with amazing views, mountainside estates, miles of single-family homes, and cozy condos offer options for varying budgets and active brokers.
Phoenix real estate agents have plenty of nice homes to show in North Phoenix since nothing is more than 40 years old; custom, semi-custom, and production homes are available at every turn. Horse properties can be found in many areas west of Interstate 17 and near the 101 loop. On the south side of the 101, you’ll find older homes built in the 1970s and ‘80s, and North of the freeway, new developments pop up regularly. Huge custom homes can be found east of Lookout Mountain, including an Italianate mansion on 28th Street. Agents know that buyers often choose older homes and update them to more modern living, especially when they’re located in prime areas.
If you prefer a newer home in a growing subdivision, brokers suggest you look North of the 101 where North Phoenix real estate is less than a decade old. Planned communities are usually 500 acres or more with homes selling between $200,000 and $1 million.
Jobs in North Phoenix
Employers have chosen to purchase North Phoenix real estate due to its proximity to the Deer Valley Airport, the second-busiest general-aviation airport in the nation. Executives at USAA Insurance, American Express, and GoDaddy can land their jets and be in the office within ten minutes. You’ll also find engineering firms, industrial yards, and high-tech aircraft machining settling into this area.
Shopping in North Phoenix
Retail locations here, including Paradise Valley Mall, the area’s oldest mall; Desert Ridge Marketplace; and Happy Valley Town Center. You’ll find all of the stores and restaurants you’d expect, as well as outdoor entertainment such as concerts and children’s events.
